We are pleased to invite you to begin your engagement with us as we develop this website. It is designed to provide information and advice grounded in research from around the world about the role of assessment and in particular feedback in improving children’s progress and achievement in learning.
Assessment is the ongoing process of gathering, analysing, interpreting and using data about learners' progress and achievement to improve learning.
Practitioners use assessment data to inform and modify their practice to help learners from birth to 18 years to advance and make progress in their learning and development.
This site presents information, advice and ideas about effective assessment practices and in the near future it will provide easy access to online assessment tools and analytics tools.
Please view the site and return as we will be adding materials over the coming months. We would welcome your
feedback on what you would like to see added to this site, how we can improve presentation and any other suggestions you might have. This is the beginning of a resource designed to directly contribute to improved learning through improved assessment.
