Insight Assessment Platform 2017

The Insight Assessment Platform will be open to government schools from the beginning of the 2017 school year. While the Platform will be a new experience for most users, the current assessments will be very similar to how they appeared on their legacy systems.

Initially, the Platform will house six assessment instruments, with more to be added in 2017:

  • English Online Interview (EOI): Target student cohort: F–Year 2
  • Diagnostic Assessment Tools in English (DATE): Target student cohort: K–Year 6
  • Mathematics Online Interview (MOI): Target student cohort: F–Year 2
  • Fractions and Decimals Online Interview (FDOI): Target student cohort: Year 5–10
  • Abilities Based Learning and Education Support (ABLES)
  • Transition Learning Development Statement (TLDS).

Training and support will be available for teachers and other school users to gain familiarity with the Platform and assessment instruments.

For support using the Insight Assessment Platform, see Insight Platform Support.

English Online Interview

The English Online Interview (EOI) is mandatory in Victorian government schools for Foundation students. Teachers conduct the assessments with the students each year at the beginning of Term 1. In 2017, the assessment period is from 30 January to 10 March.

Training sessions are regularly running to support teachers to use EOI on the Insight Assessment Platform. These sessions are online and run via Adobe Connect. The only equipment needed to particiapre in a training session is a digtal device with an internet connection (a microphone headset is optional).

For training session information and registration, see: Insight EOI training calendar
